Huawei P30 and P30 Pro take mobile photography to a new level
level thanks to the new primary sensor, lenses and processor.

Huawei P30 и P30 Pro
Huawei introduced the P30 and P30 Pro at a presentation in Paris. The devices of the Huawei P30 series became the company’s new flagship camera phones, capable of competing with professional cameras thanks to the innovative HUAWEI spectral sensor, superzoom lenses, a new TOF camera (Time of Flight) and OIS and AIS image stabilization technologies.

Richard Yu, President of Huawei Consumer BG: “The HUAWEI P30 series of smartphones represents a real breakthrough in mobile photography, which is the result of a long process of improving mobile camera technology. Innovations such as the spectral sensor and superzoom lenses have enabled us to make great strides not only in photography but also in video recording. The HUAWEI P30 series sets the rules for several new generations of smartphones.

Realistic, professional-level photography

Huawei P 30 series smartphones are changing the idea of mobile photography. The P 30 Pro achieved a record high DxOMark rating of 112 points. It has a new Leica system with four cameras, including a 40 MP main camera with spectral sensor, a 20 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8 MP telephoto lens, and a TOF camera.

The new smartphones are equipped with a 32 MP front camera for selfies.

Huawei’s 1/1.7-inch spectral sensor detects light in a completely new way. The RYYB color filter of the sensor differs from the traditional RGGB filter in that it replaces the green pixels with yellow pixels. This extended the ISO range upward to 204,800 and 409,600 for the P30 and P 30 Pro, respectively. Thanks to this fundamental change in sensor technology, combined with the cameras’ bright lenses (f/1.6) and the P30 Pro’s AIS+ OIS stabilization system. They offer new opportunities for mobile photography and videography in a wide range of shooting scenarios and lighting conditions.

The superzoom lenses provide high-quality 5x optical zoom thanks to their periscopic design. The sensor also features a hybrid 10x zoom and a digital zoom with 50x magnification. The prismatic optical element in the telephoto camera deflects light by 90 degrees and provides the maximum focal length. At the same time keeping the smartphone body slim.

The flagship Huawei P 30 Pro is equipped with a TOF camera, which determines the depth of field and allows you to accurately separate the image into individual elements. Precise measurement of the distance to the object allows you to simulate several levels of bokeh. From a completely clear background to a creamy Leica-style bokeh that allows you to highlight your subject in any scene.

The Huawei AI HDR+ function allows the front and main cameras to combine a series of images into one final image with the required exposure – without overexposure or deep shadows. Portrait mode can preserve even the smallest details, such as fine strands of hair around the model’s face. This mode uses depth-of-field information. It also uses proprietary algorithms to capture images with blurry backgrounds and great detail of the model’s face and figure.

Rethinking mobile video

With a wide range of video features, the P30 series is ready to usher in a new era of studio-quality videography. The spectral sensor allows you to shoot video in extremely low-light conditions and get the sharpest possible video footage.

Huawei AIS and OIS technologies now support stabilization during video shooting, and superzoom lenses provide high-definition close-ups. The video editor with artificial intelligence functions offers the user tools for adding background music and special effects.

The P30 Series allows you to use the two main cameras simultaneously to record different versions of video using Dual-View technology. In this mode, you can simultaneously shoot close-ups with an ultra-wide-angle camera and close-ups with a telephoto lens.

Progressive Design

новая серия Huawei P30 и P30 Pro
Huawei P30 with a screen diagonal of 6.1 inches and 6.47-inch P30 Pro will be available in black and white, as well as in three variants of gradient color – amber red (Amber Sunrise), light blue (Breathing Crystal) and northern lights (Aurora). The smartphone case has a 9-layer nano-optical coating.

The FHD+ resolution screen (2340 x 1080 pixels) has a monolithic surface with a slight rounding (Dewdrop), maximum body area coverage and a symmetrical design. A fingerprint sensor is embedded under the glass for quick and reliable owner identification. The P30 Pro also utilizes Acoustic Display technology with a speaker built under the screen.

Maximum capacity

The P30 and Pro models also offer a number of advanced features that provide competitive advantages in power, performance and efficiency:

– HUAWEI P series has high performance and energy efficiency thanks to the Kirin 980 processor. It is made with 7-nm technology and supports fast image recognition thanks to a dual neuromodule.

– HUAWEI P series smartphones run EMUI 9.1, which now uses a special expandable file system (EROFS). It significantly increases the speed of reading data from the drive. The new OS also uses Share OneHop technology for fast data exchange between HUAWEI smartphones and PCs.

– HUAWEI P30 Pro is equipped with a high-capacity 4,200 mAh battery and 40W Super charge fast charging, which allows you to charge the device by 70% in just 30 minutes. Thus, the smartphone can last longer than a full day, even with heavy use.

– Optimal heat distribution and cooling efficiency in HUAWEI P-series smartphones provides an innovative cooling system.

– Both models have advanced wireless connectivity, including Dual SIM support and Dual VoLTE2.
