What kind of program is this?
Firmware Finder software is used to search and update the firmware of various devices on Huawei and Honor servers, followed by combining the received information into a common database where tens of thousands of archives are constantly stored. The amount of stored information is constantly growing, so it is impossible to talk about exact numbers.
A mobile version of the program was created based on Firmware Finder PC, which uses the same database as the main version of the software. The lion’s share of the work associated with updating the database is done by the team of developers of this software – Team MT.
All smartphones and tablets that came pre-installed with EMUI 8.1 or higher will not be able to install the update using this software. This is due to the fact that Huawei and its subsidiary Honor have switched to a new server with an update archive that uses SSL encryption. The situation is similar with unlocking the bootloader.

Experienced flashers always use the HiSuite backup and synchronization utility.
If you want to use it too, then follow the instructions:
Huawei y7 2020 dub-lx1 firmware downgrade, downgrade firmware, unbrick, steel logo and etc.
Today I want to describe the process of downgrading the firmware version on Huawei y7 2020 or dub-lx1. Absolutely without the use of any boxes or dongles or other paid software, for example HCU. I needed to downgrade the firmware because the smart phone arrived with damaged software, and the programmer refused to restore it with the current Google patch. It was patch 136. After digging through a bunch of Internet sites, I found solutions in the form of paid firmware from Indians and Arabs. And that’s it, there’s nothing on our resources. True, there is one firmware on the pda, but after it the sound of conversation during a call disappears completely. But first things first…
So, if you have a dub-lx1 model and you need to flash it with a firmware downgrade, you will have to disassemble it. Because all manipulations will go through the testpoint. There are a lot of videos of the phone working on YouTube, and the disassembly itself is not difficult. So we sorted it out. Next photo of the testpoint:
To flash the firmware, you need to turn off the smartphone and close two contacts, they are indicated by red arrows in the photo. I couldn’t find a decent photo of a testpoint for this smartphone on the Internet, so I had to draw it myself). A paper clip or tweezers are enough.
So there is a board firmware that, through a testpoint, will help you downgrade the firmware or restore the brick. But after flashing the sound will disappear
and it will be necessary to restore it. The firmware and flasher are located:
firmware
stitcher
Launch the flasher, select the Huawei tab, the firmware should be unpacked. We close the testpoint on the switched off phone, connect the cable, hear the connection sound in Windows, release the testpoint, click on the see photo button in the program and select the file in the folder with the xml firmware and the firmware will start by itself, you just need to wait.
The firmware is completed as you will see on the screen below:
You can turn on the phone and carry out further manipulations for which you made a downgrade. The same firmware can be used to raise the software brick.
If after the firmware the sound does not work for you during a call. Microphone and speaker sound. That is, the firmware for recovery is also board. Firmware via SD card is not suitable, it will not help. Updating via hisuite software will not help either, I checked it personally. The phone was updated to the latest firmware, but the sound did not appear, which is of course strange.
So another board firmware, sewn via a computer. She helped me restore my sound. By the way, maybe she can also restore bricks and downgrade the version. Try it.
You need to sew it through qprst, with the qfile program, that’s exactly what I did. Everything worked out. qprts can be found online in bulk.
firmware here
firmware password GSMALIIMRAN
To flash via qfile, you need basic skills in working with qprst in order to insert files correctly. You also need to sew through testpoint.
I warn you!!! After this firmware you will have to restore your serial number
. Therefore, make a backup of efs, if there are no programmers, then think about whether it’s worth sewing. You must understand what you are doing yourself.
By and large, the article was written for people who have the skills to repair phones and have the necessary equipment. I was faced with the problem of downgrading the firmware version and decided to share the solution here. At the time of writing, all links are working, if one stops working, write me, I’ll upload it.
Good luck to everyone.

Mobile version
Firmware Finder mobile is an application designed specifically for mobile devices. This application uses the same database as the PC program, so there is virtually no difference between using the smartphone version and the PC version.
To install the application you will need:
PC version
The PC version of the program only works on computers running the Windows operating system; the program cannot be launched or used on PCs running MacOS or Linux. If you don’t have a Windows computer, we recommend using the mobile client.
To install the program on your computer, you must meet the following system requirements:
- Windows Vista SP1, either 7, 8, 8.1 or
- Availability of a software platform. NET Framework version no lower than 4.5.2.
- Connecting to the Internet, if there is no Internet, the program will not be able to connect to the archive.
. NET Framework is a software platform from Microsoft that is required to run many programs and applications written in different programming languages. In fact, this software guarantees the operation of various software, including Firmware Finder.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VME_W5Os2X0
To start the program you will need to perform a certain sequence of actions:
Important to know before updating!
Before flashing Huawei, you should know:
- The installation file is always named UPDATE. APP.
- It should be stored on an external storage device if its availability is provided for by the features of the device.
- The firmware file should be located in a folder called dload in the root of the memory card.
- You can only use FAT32 memory with a capacity of 4 Gb or more.
- With the local update option, all data on the memory will be lost.
- If the archive containing the firmware contains several folders, then they must be activated one by one.
Firmware versions
Before downloading, you need to figure out which firmware version is on your device. To do this, check out its numbering. As an example, let’s take Huawei’s MT1 – U06 V100R001C00B907.
MT1 – U06 refers to the name of the device. M T is the main base, that is, Huawei mate, and under U06 is a revision of the gadget. Devices may have different revisions. Let’s just say that U means UMTS, C is the CDMA version. C××B×××SP×× is a Huawei-specific designation that displays the version of the “base” on which the firmware file was created.
By B××× we mean the numeric class of the base for performing firmware. S P×× – Service Pack number. The greater the SP×× and B××, the more current the version (B×× has the highest priority). The region of the state is encrypted under C××.
Next, let’s look at the software version itself – V100R001C00B907. In this case, R001 and V100 indicate the major version and revision revision. They change extremely rarely, as a rule, with a significant change relative to the previous version of the software (for example, the transition from Android 2.x to 4.x).
C00B907 means that the version is designed for most of the latest devices. The C00 value remains unchanged and means binding to a particular region. You can determine the region in the menu section called “Special version”. B907 – firmware version.
Possible errors
When flashing Huawei smartphones, users often encounter the following situations:
- The device has turned off and cannot be turned on. Wait 2-3 minutes. If the gadget still does not turn on, then try turning it on yourself.
- The firmware process has stopped and is not moving any further. This often happens when the firmware of a new Huawei occurs. In such a situation, you need to wait about 5 minutes. If the device is still “hanging”, then remove and insert the battery back. If your smartphone has a non-removable battery, press and hold the power key and volume keys for 15 seconds.
The methods described above have been tested in practice. Remember that you do all manipulations with your smartphone at your own peril and risk.
Possible problems and their solutions
Problems include the phenomenon of process freezing. Most often, freezing occurs when the device’s power is not enough to perform an action. So make sure you install the correct file for your model. Another common reason is a process abort.
Adding a new model
To add a new device you need:
- Launch the application.
- Click on the “Add model” button.
- Read the warning and confirm the developers’ disclaimer.
- In the list of device models that appears, select the one you are interested in, or start entering the model name in the special field.
- Click on the desired model, then confirm the selection by pressing the “OK” button.
- After these manipulations, the model will appear in the general list; to search for firmware for it, you need to click on the name of the device model, then look and select the firmware version of interest.
The device model can be found on the box or through the settings. Depending on the EMUI version, the sequence of actions may differ slightly from the example.
To establish the device model you need:
- Launch the settings of your smartphone or tablet.
- Click on the “System” item.
- In the menu that appears, click on the “About phone” line.
- The “Model” line will display the device model.

Firmware*
(firmware) is software built (“hardwired”) into a hardware device. Often represented as a firmware image file that can be loaded into the hardware.
Dear users, if your modem works with a SIM card from only one operator, then after updating the Firmware it will not work with any SIM cards.
In order for the modem to work with SIM cards of any operator, it must be unlocked (unlocked). (An exception is the E3131 modem from Beeline Russia, it is unlocked after flashing Firmware.
)
How to unlock (unlock) the modem, read in the forum thread:

Transition to original firmware
To flash the device, the user does not even need to do USB debugging, go into Fastboot mode or the standard methods used in other Android phones because Huawei has made the process easy.
Before flashing Huawei via a computer, perform the following steps:
- If the user still has access to the phone, be sure to back up everything on it because this process will erase everything.
- Charge the battery as much as possible, at least more than 70%.
- Go to the official Huawei website and download the firmware for the phone model, for example, Huawei Ascend G510.
- On Windows, unzip the downloaded compressed file and copy it to the root of the microSD memory.
- Turn off Huawei Ascend G510 or other model in use.
- Before flashing Huawei, remove the battery for at least 10 seconds and put it back.
- Then insert the microSD memory card into the phone.
- Press the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.
The phone will start, the update process may take about 10 minutes, after which the device will switch to the original firmware.
By air
Over-the-air update is the installation of a new version using FOTA. This is done using the following algorithm:
- go to settings;
- select the “About phone” section;
- tap on the line “System update”;
- option – “Online”.
After this, only the final stage remains – wait for the process to complete and set new settings.
Search for the required firmware version
To search for software for your device, you will need to know its model. Installing a tablet and a phone model is practically no different, so you can use the instructions above. Please note that due to differences in EMUI, the names of some menu items may differ. After establishing the model number, you can search for the latest firmware.
Searching for firmware in the general database is carried out as follows:
- Launch the application and go to the “General Database” tab.
- In the search bar you need to enter the name of the device model and click on the search button.
- In the list that appears, you need to find an interesting and suitable firmware for you. By clicking on “Changelot” you can find out information about the firmware. Some firmwares have multiple languages, including Russian, others only Chinese and English.
- “Filelist” opens the firmware download menu and shows links to download the archive. By copying the link, you can check it for compatibility. To do this, click on the “planner” icon at the top, paste the copied link into the line and click on “Check”. If compatible, the message “Firmware approved for installation” will appear.
Preliminary preparation of the device
You will need a MicroSD card of 8GB or more or internal memory to install the stock ROM. Pre-charge the phone to 100% and make sure there is enough battery to start the update process. Update operations may erase all user data.
Mandatory procedures that are performed before flashing Huawei:
- Before flashing, you need to unzip the SD update_Package.tar.gz file and download UPDATE. APP to perform update operation on SD card. The Update.zip package always comes with the main update.app, which is the complete OS.
- Make sure the latest USB drivers are available and installed.
- Perform a full backup of the phone.
- The user must be fully aware of the consequences of unsuccessful firmware, as well as the fact that any damage to the phone caused by these actions will be the responsibility of the owner.
sp flash tool application
SP flash tool is an application that helps flash Stock ROM, custom recovery and patching in some extreme cases: firmware update, flash recovery, unfinished Android and Huawei device. SmartPhone FlashTool works with MediaTek Android smartphones (MTK based). You will first need to download the scattered file for your MTK based device to work.

Huawei modem firmware
As with mobile phone operating systems, USB modem firmware can be updated to improve the device’s performance. Some internet modems have connection and signal strength issues, and updating their firmware is often the solution.
Firmware update is almost the same as flashing a phone, during which the current firmware is replaced with a new one or an old one if you need to roll back the state of the device.
In order to flash a Huawei MTS modem, follow the procedure:
- Download the firmware to your computer from the specialized site. Once the download is complete, you will need to unzip the file to extract the exe application inside.
- Generate the unlock code and firmware for the modem using Universal Mastercode software and copy them on a piece of paper.
- Make sure the laptop or desktop UPS is fully charged and has a backup power line. If the power goes out during flashing, the modem will become useless.
- Remove the SIM card from the Huawei USB modem, connect it to the computer and run the firmware update that you downloaded and extracted from the zip file.
- Accept the terms of the agreement.
- Firmware update begins.
- Wait a minute while the update scans the USB ports for the modem.
- Once the Huawei modem is detected, the program will display the current firmware version and the new update.
- Press the “Start” button and the device firmware update will be completed.

Russian
You can find the current firmware version in Russian on the Huawei customer support resource. To find the software you need, you should enter the name of your phone model or its imei number.
Each current Russian Huawei firmware has full localization.
Manual (download the file with firmware)
- The manual option will take a little more time, but its advantage is that it will solve your problem if suddenly some functions do not work, or the files of the current OS are damaged. First, fully charge your device and copy all the information to the cloud (or flash drive).
You can perform quick updates through Firmware Finder and download the latest firmware for your device using this application. The software does not require any root privileges or an unlocked bootloader. In addition, using it is almost impossible to install the wrong firmware version on a smartphone. Before any firmware update, perform a backup, fully charge the phone and connect to fast Wi-Fi.
For experienced Android users, there may be situations where you need to flash a Huawei modem, but only with certain files from the OTA update. For example, if the device accidentally became bricked, and the user knows exactly what he flashed, he will be able to undo the wrong actions and restore the device.
Reasons why Android phones freeze:
- The installed application is not compatible with the phone’s operating system.
- Error reading data from SD card.
- Opening corrupted files, APK files, or application files stored on external media such as an SD card may cause your phone to freeze.
- Viruses or malware. This is one of the most common situations that affects the phone’s security system.
- Errors when installing ROM incorrectly.
Huawei Android phones are great for customizing and flashing ROMs, but using an incorrect, incompatible, or poorly coded ROM that contains many bugs can significantly affect the stability of the phone, so extra care will be required on the part of the user.

Is it worth updating the firmware on android
The main point of updates is to eradicate bugs, problems and shortcomings, of which there are plenty in the Android operating system:
- For example, system applications freeze or crash.
- Blurred corners of pictures with a good camera.
- The smartphone does not turn on at all.
- The phone turns off and reboots whenever it wants.
- When you turn on Wi-Fi, the battery runs out in a couple of hours – a problem with power consumption.
- There can be a lot of glitches; there are times when the phone itself starts calling the first number in the phone book. Hardly anyone is happy with this behavior.
There are also ordinary enthusiasts who love everything new and want to test the latest Android.

Installing firmware
To install the firmware using a PC, you will need to launch the program, go to the general database and find the required file. Before installing the firmware, you need to make sure that the software matches the phone and is suitable for it.
Next, you need to proceed to installing the update on your smartphone or tablet:
- First you need to copy the link to download the update. It is recommended to install only FullOTA, so be careful. After copying the link, you need to click on the cloud icon at the top of the program window.
- In the “Registration” field, you need to insert a link to the update and click on the “Registration” button. Only after this you can proceed to the following steps of the instructions.
- Next, you should change the DNS address of your PC. Don’t forget to save your data so you can restore it after the update. You can also change DNS in the application HiSuite
by setting it as a proxy. Your DNS is changed to 225.84.142.
- Then you need to check the update via HiSuite, after all the manipulations it should be installed.
- After completing the installation of the update package, return your PC’s DNS address settings to their previous values.

Installing twrp recovery
Previously, ClockworkMod (aka CWM) was a common recovery for almost all major Android devices. Since then, a lot has changed, a new service has appeared, which has received many critical reviews, but also a huge user base. TeamWin Recovery Project, or TWRP for short, is a full touch custom recovery that was originally designed for Nexus devices, but has since become available for countless other smartphones and tablets in the form of both official and third-party builds.
Recovery sequence:
- Before flashing a Huawei phone, create a new folder in the phone memory or on the SD card and rename it dload.
- Download the Huawei Stock firmware and copy the update.zip file to the dload folder.
- Enter the device into Twrp Recovery.
- Turn off the device.
- Press the volume up and the power button at the same time to enter the TWRP custom recovery.
- Go to the installation, find the update.zip file and flash it.
- Once the update process is completed, click Wipe cache/dalvik to clear the original ROM and reboot your Huawei device.

Update using 3 buttons works even when you cannot boot the device normally.
This is done as follows:
- Create a dload folder in the root directory of SD.
- Copy UPDATE. APP to the created directory.
- Turn off your smartphone.
- Press buttons “Volume Down”
and “Volume Up”
, and then the power button for the device. Hold the buttons for 6 seconds. - Wait until the update finishes.
Through settings
Using a local update is appropriate for large-scale innovations; in addition, this technique allows you to restore the system to its original form and, as a rule, eliminates the risk of problems associated with significant battery consumption in the first few days after the updates.
To update via the setup menu you need:
- Create a folder called dload in the root of the SD card.
- Copy the UPDATE file from the archive containing the firmware. APP in dload.
- Next go to the menu “ Settings
“, there find the “Memory” section, and in it the option “Software update”. - Start the update and wait for the process to complete.
Conclusion
Installing the update on devices with EMUI 8.1 and higher is not possible, however, if this status changes, information about this will first appear on w3bsit3-dns.com. The developer is present in the discussion topic, which helps resolve any issues when using the program on a PC or phone.
