Battery

The smartphone batteries of different brands do not differ from each other. Both use lithium polymer batteries, which are lightweight and quick to charge.

But in terms of specific capacity, Xiaomi devices win. The smartphones of the two companies, which have an identical price and a set of basic characteristics, have different sized batteries. Xiaomi tries to install the largest batteries, as it was in the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 (5500 mAh). The competitor’s maximum is 5,000 mAh.

How to spend 21,000 yuan correctly

Forbes estimates Zhengfei’s fortune at $1.14 billion. At the moment, it is the 264th richest in China. Impressive! And once upon a time, Huawei started with 21,000 yuan – that’s 5,680 US dollars. In 1987, it was with this registered capital that the firm began its work in manufacturing and selling PBX equipment.

Zhengfei used his own research to make telephone switches. The founder spent all his profits on new research, creating the first R&D center with five hundred employees by 1990. Three years later, Huawei announced itself loudly on the switch market by showing the software-controlled C&

Now Huawei not only produces consumer electronics, but is also one of the few companies that rely on its own processors. Not for nothing: the latest generation Kirin SoC is already beating Samsung Exynos in benchmarks.

Build quality

Huawei and Xiaomi closely monitor all stages of the smartphone manufacturing process. That is why the gadgets of the two companies are of such high quality. It is possible to complain about the assembly only in the case of the cheapest models, where plastic is used. But in the more expensive devices, the assembly of Huawei and Xiaomi is impossible to fault.

Signal quality

Huawei and Xiaomi, which are sold in Russia, are localized and perfectly suitable for use in our latitudes. The smartphones catch 4G wherever there is support for 4G networks. In addition, both companies started releasing models with 5G in 2020, but this technology is not yet used in Russia.

International recognition

At first, Huawei’s mobile products were treated with skepticism around the world, including in Russia. But soon the facts outweighed the stereotypes about Chinese products: the flagship devices of the Ascend line stood out for their value for money, that is, they cost considerably less than the leading brands, but were not inferior to them in characteristics.

In the end, Huawei was noticed and trusted by the American giant corporation Google. It has its own line of Android devices – the famous Nexus. Since Google itself does not have production facilities, every year the company collaborates with a third-party manufacturer for the release of the next flagship device.

To date, HTC, Samsung, ASUS, and LG have “marked” the line. And in 2020, Huawei took up Nexus and released Nexus 6P. There is an opinion that at the time it was one of the best smartphones on the market. The cooperation proved to be fruitful, and it looks like it may continue – it is possible that Huawei will be responsible for the production of Nexus 7P again.

This is hinted at by the fact that the company has registered the trademark Huawei 7P. Of course, this does not guarantee that such product will appear on the market, or that it will be created in cooperation with Google – maybe the Chinese vendor has simply decided to update the Huawei Nexus 6P, already as a product under its own brand. We will know the truth this year: the new Nexus along with Android N will be shown in the fall.

Memory

Built-in storage is an ambiguous thing, because in the budget segment it is impossible to find a model with more than 64 GB of memory. But almost all Xiaomi and Huawei flagships have modifications for 256 and even 512 gigabytes. But the victory in this comparison is on Huawei’s side, because the competitor refuses to use the memory card slot in the older models.
