Among the new devices that you can buy in 2019, Honor View 20 has a special place.
The flagship from the Chinese company Huawei will be equipped with “tasty stuffing”. But the rest is not so impressive. Most likely, it will be the same as the P30 model.
But since this flagship from the budget segment, its price should definitely be lower than the leading flagships of the same company.
A few years ago, Huawei separated the Honor brand, and now it operates as an independent project.
The new Honor V 20 is planned as a budget class smartphone. And the economy here is the use of cheaper materials.
For example, IPS will be used instead of SuperAMOLED for the display. The optics will be created not by Leica, as it was before, but by Huawei.
Honor View 20 internal composition
The Hisilicon Kirin 980 is the core of the new Honor V 20. This chip was announced at IFA 2018 in Berlin.
And while the Kirin 980 is considered one of the most powerful options for all flagships that run on Android. And Huawei is not going to share this chip with anyone.
But soon (around February or early spring 2019) will present devices that will run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and Exynos 9820 processors.
These chipsets will work with 5G, as well as be equipped with memory LPDDR5.
Perhaps in some criteria Honor V 20 will have to concede them, but on this point, manufacturers Huawei have their own ideas, so that they are not going to concede to competitors.
5G for the Honor 20 View is not a problem, as the Kirin 980 processor can be equipped with a Balong 5000 modem that supports 5G.
Perhaps in 2019 the new gadget will be able to boast of such a feature. Another feature of the Honor V 20 processor in which it will not be inferior to the new competitors is the RAM LPDDR4x 2133 MHz.
Video chipset
The single chip system runs on eight cores.
Thanks to the ARM Mali – G76 MP10 built into the Huawei Honor V20, the gadget will be able to run even the most difficult and very demanding games and apps.
If the Honor 20 View doesn’t get 5G capability, it will work fine on LTE as well. Downloading is done at 1,400 Mbit/sec, and data transfer at 200 Mbit/sec.
Display
We can expect changes related to the screen of the device. Huawei manufacturers plan to build a scanner into the display that will recognize fingerprints, so the ratio of the display will change slightly to 9: 19,5.
Camera
And as for the changes to the cameras, there is no exact information yet. But we can assume that they will remain the same as in the Mate 20. A dual main camera with up to two-fold zoom and a single-module front-facing camera.
There are rumors that this gadget will have no 3.5 mm headphone jack. But the device will be equipped with slots for two SIM-cards. The new features of Honor V20 will be a built-in IR transmitter and NFC.
