Appearance and Ergonomics

If we compare the design of Huawei P10 Plus, this gadget strongly resembles the recent flagship Note 7 from Samsung. On the front of the metal body is a massive 2.5D screen, almost completely devoid of side (left and right) frames. Under it is a mechanical button with an oblong shape, and just above it there is an iris scanner. At the back there is a glossy insert at the top, where the main camera modules are located. Somewhat lower is the round fingerprint scanner.

The case itself has a rather strict rectangular shape with slightly rounded corners. The device is quite bulky, but in terms of usability it shows only a positive side. The color of the P10 Plus is black.

The display

The Chinese brand has made the P10 Plus a real phablet with a 5.5-inch screen. In this case, the resolution here is 2560 by 1440 pixels, which corresponds to Quad HD. Such a display is great in the sun, and stands out with natural color reproduction without acidic shades. The matrix is protected by tempered glass, the image detail is at the highest level.

Iron and Performance

The flagship in the face of Huawei P10 Plus is equipped with the high-performance Kirin 965 processor, which is an overclocked version of the Kirin 960 chip. The device exists in several variants: with 6 GB RAM 128 GB RAM or with 8 GB RAM 256 GB RAM. The internal memory can be expanded with MicroSD cards. Such powerful stuffing leaves no chance brakes and freezes, and the popular synthetic test AnTuTu demonstrates an excellent score in excess of 100 thousand points. This “monster” runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the latest proprietary EMUI 5.0 interface.

Camera

An important feature of the P10 Plus smartphone is a dual camera, developed by Huawei together with Leica. While one module is 12-megapixel, the second is 20-megapixel. Such a system allows for real miracles in terms of shooting. The user has access to a variety of modes and functions, as well as numerous effects.

Bottom line

At the time of writing this review, the price of Huawei P10 in the official Russian retail was 36 thousand rubles for the most affordable version with 32 GB of memory. This is quite good for a top-of-the-line mobile device with maximum characteristics. The sleek, small, and thin all-metal body hides powerful hardware, not inferior in any way to other modern flagships.

The hero of the review has an excellent screen, sound, communication capabilities, a new powerful and economical hardware platform, and very good camera shooting quality. The only criticism is the battery life, but it is clearly due to the thickness and size of the slim body, and beauty, as you know, requires sacrifice.
