There are several ways to dry a smartphone that has fallen into water:

- using adsorbents — substances that absorb moisture. The simplest option is to place the smartphone, battery and other removable parts of the gadget in a container filled with regular white rice. The drying process needs control on your part: wet rice must be replaced with new one. The advantage of this method is the availability of the adsorbent, but the disadvantage is the length of drying time (it can take a couple of days). The dried device will need to be removed from the container and wiped with a soft cloth or microfiber cloth to remove traces of starch;
- Another adsorbent is silica gel (small beads that are usually placed in shoe boxes). But since its absorbency is much higher than that of ordinary rice, the process of drying a smartphone will be reduced from a couple of days to 10 hours. - using a vacuum cleaner with a fine attachment. The main thing is that the smartphone does not heat up when drying.
