What to do with devices running android kitkat and higher?
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to do this without obtaining Root rights. Google has officially stopped supporting this feature in new versions of the operating system. The fact is that cloud services are becoming more widespread and, as a result, problems with insufficient memory should not arise.
Is it possible to somehow make sure that applications are automatically installed on the memory card? As we said above, this is real.
If you have a tablet from one of the Chinese companies, then it probably already has built-in Root rights, but you will have to tinker with other manufacturers. Naturally, in the course of this article we cannot talk about obtaining them, because the process for each gadget is unique — the instructions can only fit into a multi-volume book. But oh well, it doesn’t matter.
You can contact a specialist with a request to install Root rights or do it yourself at home. The last option is the most risky; there is a chance to turn your gadget into a so-called “brick” and only be able to restore it in one of the service centers.
- Somehow we have strayed quite far from the main topic of the article. So, let’s return to the instructions: Using any of the possible methods (flashing, unlocking the bootloader, etc.) we get Root rights;
- Go to Google Play;
- In the search bar we write: “SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD” — this is the assistant application that will be useful to us in the future. Let’s install it. We hope this doesn’t need to be explained to anyone? Just tap once on the “Install” button and the process will take place automatically, after which a shortcut to launch will appear in the menu;
- We open it and see a bunch of, most likely incomprehensible, inscriptions in English. There is no need to translate them — everything is resolved in a few clicks;
- Click on “Continue”, as shown in the first screenshot;
- We tick our agreement that by clicking the “Continue” button, the device will be slightly modified;
- We wait literally a couple of minutes until the orange screen changes to green.
- On the green screen we are informed that automatic installation of applications on the SD card has been successfully enabled.
Actually, that’s all. And the most difficult thing in this whole matter is obtaining Root rights. Fortunately, on the Internet there are step-by-step instructions for all gadgets that have ever hit store shelves, and there are plenty of instructions on our website.
Why are applications not saved to the memory card?
We hasten to disappoint you — in some devices it will not be possible to allow automatic installation to MicroSD using software. In particular, this applies to devices running Android 4.4.2 and higher – right down to the “marshmallow”. Fortunately, there is third-party software that allows you to do this. But let’s not rush things – we’ll find out about everything in order.
Find out the Android version
Well, now let’s put everything in order. First, we need to find out the Android version.
— Go to the menu; — Go to “Settings”; — Scroll to the very bottom and click on the “About phone” item; — In the submenu that opens, look for information on the version;
In this case it is Android 5.1.1. This method is suitable for both smartphones and tablets. As a matter of fact, on this device, without “external” intervention, it will not be possible to ensure that all applications are automatically installed on the card. But, as you have already noticed, we have third-party firmware with built-in Root rights.
With their help, you can easily install additional software, which, working in the background, will “scatter” all files from programs and games on a flash drive.
«foldermount»
There is another program called FolderMount. With its help, you can transfer the application to the card along with the cache. But keep in mind that to work in the FolderMount application, the user will need developer rights (ROOT). When you have root rights, you can transfer not only installed applications, but even work with system applications, the main thing is to do this extremely carefully and carefully.
«app 2 sd (appmgr iii)»
Using this program, you can move installed programs to an external card, unless otherwise specified by the developer.
“move to sdcard”
The easiest way is to use a program called “Move to SDCard”. It is a very light program, both in terms of weight and complexity of use. The icon is sometimes called “Delete”.
Autonomous operation
The first thing you notice is the 4800 mAh battery. This is not enough for a ten-inch device; some smartphones with a much smaller screen diagonal have larger batteries.
Included charging is 1A and this is also quite a bit.
The tablet charges from 0 to 100% in a long 5 hours. There is no fast charging function. It would be more appropriate to equip the tablet with a 2A charger.
And here is the data obtained on battery life:
1. Games in 3D format – 5 hours.
2. Playing movies in 720p resolution – 6 hours 30 minutes.
3. Maximum load: full screen brightness, constant 4G connection, geolocation – 4 hours.
In progress
The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon processor. Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 is the youngest model among the 625 and 435 chipsets; this chipset is designed for budget-class mobile devices. The SoC consists of a processor with four 64-bit Cortex A53 cores operating at 1.4 GHz, a new entry-level Adreno 308 graphics chip, and a new X6 LTE modem.
You shouldn’t expect high scores in synthetic tests. The presence of 4 cores does not help the performance situation.
Let’s see how things are in the games.
So GTA: San Andreas and Modern Combat 5 refused to start (constant crashes when loading). Asphalt Xtreme lags a little on the default graphics settings and is not comfortable to play. Dead Effect 2 — Freezes during loading process. World Of Tanks — works tolerably only on the lowest graphics settings, and sometimes the gameplay slows down a little. And only with Mario Run there were no problems.

» frameborder=»0″ allow=»accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture» allowfullscreen>
In general, playing on this tablet is not very comfortable, some games do not work, but the most annoying thing is the long loading times.
Of the active sensors, the tablet only has an accelerometer.
RAM in the tablet is 2 GB (900 MB available). Permanent built-in memory 16 GB (7 GB available). Notice how little permanent memory is left! More than half of the memory was consumed by the firmware and installed applications. And 2 GB of RAM in 2021 is still not enough for stable operation.
In some places the interface still slows down, this is noticeable when scrolling desktops, in the browser and when typing.
Memory speed performance can be assessed in the screenshot below.
Since permanent memory is not enough in our case, using a memory card is a necessary measure. My 128GB test card worked great in this tablet.
Temperature readings of internal components. Measurements in a room at a temperature of 22.
After running the Epic Citadel for an hour, the temperature of the internal components remained virtually unchanged. The merit lies in the metal case and not very productive SoC. We can say that there is no heating as such during operation.
If we consider a tablet as a cell phone, then in our case we simply cannot do without using a headset. There is only one speaker and therefore only speakerphone is available.
I would also like to say about the not very loud sound from the only speaker. Personally, the volume reserve was not enough for me. And the sound itself cannot boast of anything remarkable. There are clearly not enough low frequencies. It’s difficult to demand anything unusual from mono sound.
I’m glad that the tablet supports the GLONASS system. The first “cold” start occurs very quickly. But during testing it turned out that the satellite readings are constantly changing, the minimum value is 9 satellites, and the maximum is 17. The average value can be identified at around 13 satellites.
Nowadays, you simply cannot do without 4G in devices. There are no connection problems identified here, the declared standard works, but a lot depends on the specific telecom operator, terrain, etc.
The built-in Wi-Fi module operates only at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. There is no support for 5GHz, however, even without this the speed is enough for online viewing and torrents.
If anyone loves devices with strong vibration, then the product from Huawei will definitely not disappoint you.
Design and controls
Don’t expect any design solutions from the Huawei MediaPad T3. The tablet looks simple, but at the same time quite laconic.
The body is made entirely of metal. The metal adds weight, but the tablet does not feel heavy. The back side is painted gray with a matte texture. In the center is the manufacturer’s logo.
There is also a version in gold coloring and a model with a screen diagonal of 8 inches.
The thickness of the tablet is small — 8 mm.
The main camera was placed not in the center of the top part, but in the left corner. If you look closely, you will notice that the camera at the top protrudes slightly above the top end.
At the top end there is a hole for a single microphone.
On the right side there is a volume button and a power button. The buttons themselves are also made of metal.
There is a speaker at the bottom end, there is only one, as a result of which the sound is reproduced only in mono format.
On the left side there is a 3.5 mm connector (mini Jack) for connecting a headset. An outdated Micro-USB connector is used for charging and synchronization; in mid-2021, it would be more appropriate to use a USB Type-C connector. There is also a tray for installing a memory card and a nano SIM card. The tray is made of plastic, which in my personal opinion is not very good.
The screen frames in the gray version are black. The gold color has white screen frames. When turned off, the screen frames almost completely merge with the screen itself. The width of the frames on the sides is less than at the top and bottom.
The front camera is located exactly in the center of the top edge. There is a status indicator next to the camera. The indication occurs while the tablet is charging and at the moment when the tablet operates as a cell phone.
At the bottom there is the manufacturer’s logo. Touch control buttons are traditionally located on the screen.
Button layout: back, home, context menu can be swapped in settings.
Touch control buttons can be moved across the screen to the left or right side. To do this, you need to hold the right or left button and move all the buttons in the desired direction.
The assembly of the tablet is good, no negative aspects have been identified. The back side does not press through, there is no squeaking of the case. Mechanical control buttons do not play.

Instructions on how to connect a USB flash drive to a Huawei tablet
Instructions:
Camera
Historically, it has been almost impossible to see a good camera in a tablet. Perhaps only in the most expensive models from a well-known manufacturer can you find a more or less normal camera.
But Huawei MediaPad T3 10 gives us a pleasant surprise…
The main camera in the tablet has a 5MP matrix. There is no optical stabilization. Unfortunately, it was not possible to find information about who the supplier of the matrices is.
The settings for both cameras are meager and lack variety.
There is autofocus. There is no flash, however, it is not particularly needed in the tablet. The camera works quite quickly, which is nice.

» frameborder=»0″ allow=»accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture» allowfullscreen>
In the final photographs, one can note the natural reproduction of color. Shooting small text? No problem! Automation generally sets the white balance correctly. If I’m being picky, the pictures lack a little sharpness at the edges of the frame.
Video shooting from the main camera is possible in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. The video turns out to be of good quality with sufficient sharpness, but during shooting the camera constantly adjusts the focus and this is noticeable in the final result.
2MP front camera. Its main task is video communication in various applications. There is a significant lack of sharpness in the final images, the reason lies in the lack of autofocus.
Videos can only be shot in 720p at 30 frames per second. The quality of shooting occurs with a clear lack of sharpness.
Equipment
Traditionally, the configuration of tablet PCs does not differ in variety. However, let’s see what’s in the box…
1. Tablet.
2. Network charger.
3. USB to Micro USB cable.
4. Warranty card.
5. User manual.
6. Paperclip for removing the tray.
The clip is attached to a separate box with a cable and charger.
As expected, the package is standard, there are only the most necessary components for work.
Is it possible to connect a USB flash drive to a Huawei tablet
Can I use an external drive in Mediapad? Yes. For this, there is a special OTG cable that serves as an adapter. The device is used in gadgets with the Windows or Android operating system. It will not work for Apple; this technology does not accept external drives.
You won’t be able to use a flash drive directly, bypassing the adapter. Buy an OTG cable.
On the one hand, it is equipped with microUSB, which connects to a tablet PC, and on the other, USB itself, where the drive is inserted. Previously, for correct operation it was necessary to install drivers, now, starting with Android version 3.1, there should be no problems.
The developers have provided a similar connection method. That is, any modern gadgets will accept a flash drive without any problems. Additionally, it is worth noting that the OTG adapter is suitable not only for flash drives. It can be used to connect mice, keyboards or wireless modems.
About transferring programs to the card
Almost any program is initially installed in the built-in memory of a Huawei tablet, unless a different location has been specified by the creator. In addition, it is the developer who establishes the ability to transfer application data.
Not every application allows porting. For example, it is prohibited to change the installation location of system programs. This will require developer rights (root rights). But many installed ones can be transferred.
Before you begin transferring applications, you must make sure that the card has the required amount of free memory. It is important not to forget that when you remove the memory card, those applications located on it will stop working and functioning.
It is also important to keep in mind that applications are not transferred in full to the card; some portion of the program remains in the built-in memory of the device. But despite this, a large volume is transferred, freeing up space. The size is always different.
Analysis of the Huawei mediapad t3 10 tablet
The vendor expressed a desire to add to the review the process of disassembling the Huawei MediaPad T3 10 tablet. To be honest, I am quite skeptical about this kind of activity, but a wish is a wish.
At first it may seem that the tablet is disassembled by removing the back cover, but in practice everything is a little more complicated.
The disassembly process begins with removing the screen. In this case, the screen does not need to be preheated.
All you need to detach the screen is an unwanted SIM card or any other plastic object. The main thing is that the plastic part is solid. Next, we sharpen the plastic from one edge so that the tip is sharp. Regular sandpaper is ideal for sharpening.
It is important to use only plastic parts to disassemble the tablet. This way, when disassembling the case, the appearance of the tablet will not be affected.
Since I don’t have much experience in disassembling the Huawei MediaPad T3 10 tablet and I couldn’t find material on this particular tablet on the Internet, I had an unpleasant incident during my first attempt at disassembling it. I didn’t insert the plastic part very deeply and the next time I moved the screen cracked.
Looking ahead, I want to say a big thank you to the vendor for providing the replacement screen.
Well, we move directly to the analysis.
It is important to carefully insert the sharpened SIM card between the screen and the body of the tablet. We insert the plastic a little into the case and begin to move it around the perimeter of the tablet. This procedure can be done several times, as it may not work the first time. Then the plastic latches will move away from the case and the screen can be removed.
ATTENTION!!! The screen is connected to the body using a cable, try not to tear it off.
The cable should be disconnected from the screen. At the attachment point, you must first loosen the clamping bar and remove the cable itself.
The base of the train is glued with double-sided tape.
The markings on the battery correspond to the declared capacity.
The speaker is fixed with 4 screws.
Front camera module.
The processor and memory of the Huawei MediaPad T3 10 are covered with a metal casing.
The screen manufacturer could not be determined. On the screen itself there was only a serial number.
The tablet was not disassembled further.
Common mistakes
In some situations, the system may show an error. For example, users often cannot find a connected flash drive. To solve the problem, just use the Total Commader explorer. Go to the root location and find a folder called USB.
The second common problem is insufficient voltage of the gadget. Let’s say you’re trying to connect a drive with an impressive amount of memory. The tablet probably just doesn’t have enough energy. Try using a flash drive with less memory.
- Go to the “About Tablet PC” section.
- Click on the Build Number tab several times.
- The notification “You have become a developer” should appear.

Next, return to the settings and go to the section for developers. Find the “USB Debugging” option and check the box. The next problem may be due to an incorrect format. Tablets can only accept FAT32. Make sure the drive is the correct format.
Insert it into your PC, right-click on the detected device and click “Properties”. If it is NTFS, then close the window and right-click again, select “Format”. During the procedure, specify the desired file system. Don’t forget to transfer the stored data to your computer first, otherwise after formatting all information from the flash drive will be deleted.
If none of the above brings results, then make sure that the adapter cable and connectors are in good condition.
Saving applications to a memory card for android 2.2 – 4.2.2
Everything here is extremely simple and banal:
1. We still go to the menu and look for “Settings” there — the icon, as a rule, resembles a gear in appearance — there should be no problems finding it;
2. Next, look for the “Memory” sub-item. In our case, it is located between “Screen” and “Battery”. The menu may differ depending on the device manufacturer. The screenshot shows an example of a clean version of Android, without shells that are preinstalled at the manufacturing plants;
3. And now the most important thing — tap once on the “SD card” item, located below the inscription: “Default recording disk”. On the contrary, a circle or a tick should appear;
4. Profit! Now all applications downloaded through the Play Market will be automatically installed on external memory.
By the way, if the flash drive is slow, and there are such things, then applications may not work correctly. So buy a good SD card — don’t skimp.

Part 1: Is it possible to move apps to Huawei SD card?
Recently, many users who own Huawei P9 Lite (Android 7.0) have complained that there is no option when they try to move apps to their SD card, but this option is available on Huawei P8 Lite with Android 6.0. This scenario raises the obvious question: “Is it possible to move apps to an SD card on a Huawei smartphone?”
Well, the simple answer to this question is that it depends on the software version of your device. As stated by Huawei Support, smartphones starting with Android 7.0 Nougat, moving an application to the SD card is no longer supported.
But we have good news for you. There is another method that can help you move apps to SD card on your Huawei P9 Lite smartphone. Keep reading this post to find out.
Part 2: How to move apps to Huawei SD card?
Well, if you set the SD card as the default storage location through Settings>Storage>>Storage Options. But if no change occurs and all information is still stored in the internal memory, then try the next method, which should allow you to save the application data to the SD card.
Step 1: On your Huawei phone, go to Settings>Applications.
Step 2: Now tap on «Advanced (bottom of screen)» > «App Permissions» > «Storage». Then select the appropriate app (it should then include the data for the selected app saved on the SD card).
Step 3: To move data from your device’s internal memory to an SD card — go to Tools>Files>Local (top right)>Internal memory and/or SD card.
This should now give you the ability to move and transfer data from one device to another (internal memory to SD card or vice versa). If you want to transfer Huawei photos to SD card or transfer Huawei apps to SD card, this method should work.

Screen
The screen size is 9.6 inches. IPS matrix resolution 1280×800 pixels. The pixel density with such characteristics is 157 ppi, and whatever one may say, individual pixels on the screen are clearly visible.
Higher screen resolution would have an impact on price, CPU load and power consumption.
There is no air gap between the glass and the touch layer, which ensures maximum viewing angles.
One can note a good margin for maximum brightness, which has a positive effect when using the tablet in sunny weather.
There is no automatic brightness adjustment. Multi-touch screen for 10 touches.
The tablet screen does not have specialized protection; the matrix itself is covered with ordinary glass without an oleophobic coating. The screen quickly becomes covered with fingerprints, which are quite difficult to remove.
There is an eye protection mode in the screen settings. When activated, UV radiation, which affects eye fatigue, is reduced, and the color palette of the screen changes to a yellow tint. By the way, you can set a timer for this operating mode, which is quite convenient.
The color temperature can be changed in any order or use ready-made presets.
Next, we’ll look at the screen settings in more detail. Testing was carried out at default screen settings and at maximum brightness.
Gamma curves show a fairly stable result with a slight deviation in the middle part.
Color channels are almost perfect.
Color temperature is approximately 6800k, which is almost equal to the 6500k reference. The colors on the screen will not have a cool tint.
But according to the sRGB standard we see a significant deviation. We can say that the rendering of color shades will not be entirely natural.
Almost all points of the “gray wedge” lie within the circle boundary DeltaE<10. This is a pretty good indicator; in our case, there will be no spurious shades.
As a result, we get a tablet with a regular screen without any interesting aspects. Perhaps potential buyers may be put off by the low resolution of the installed matrix.
Conclusions
If you look at the price list of the DNS company, you can easily make sure that the Huawei MediaPad T3 has no obvious competitors in the price/specifications category. And HUAWEI itself is not the last manufacturer on the tablet PC market. For an adequate price, we get a tablet in a metal case, with support for GLONASS and 4G. And as a first tablet for children, this is a very good solution.
LIKED:
1. Metal body.
2. Almost complete absence of heating under load.
3. Adequate price.
4. Work in cell phone mode.
5. Supports GLONASS and 4G.
6. Interesting mode for children.
7. Good workmanship.
8. Availability of a status indicator.
9. Strong vibration.
10. Android OS 7.0.
11. Not a bad camera.
12. Screen video recording function out of the box.
DISLIKED:
1. Screen without oleophobic coating.
2. The speaker is not loud enough and the sound is mediocre.
3. Of the 16 GB of permanent memory, only 7 GB is actually available. Mandatory purchase of a memory card.
4. Sometimes freezes during operation.
5. Short battery life.
That’s all. Thank you all very much for your attention, good luck and see you again!
Conclusion:
Considering everything discussed here, needless to say, the process of moving Huawei P9 Lite apps to SD card is a big hassle. So, just use MobileTrans-Backup to save yourself from this trouble.
