Appearance and ergonomics
Honor Note 8 looks stylish and rich. The chic metal casing plays an important role in this. Its monolithic design does not initially imply the presence of squeaks and other problems. The aluminum frame gives the gadget a sophisticated charm. The front part is completely covered with curved glass, and the back side is made of velvety metal, which is very pleasant to the touch.
The rear upper part is made of glossy material, where the main camera module and flash are located. Just below is the fingerprint scanner. The screen occupies almost the entire front part, which looks truly impressive. But due to its excessive size, the device is difficult to hold even in a rather large hand. Dimensions of Honor Note 8: height — 178.7 mm, width — 91 mm, thickness — 7.1 mm, weight — 219 g. Case color: silver, gold and gray.
Display
You can admire the 6.6-inch screen of the Huawei Honor Note 8 for a very long time. An advanced Super AMOLED matrix with stunning QHD resolution (2560 by 1440 pixels) is used. High dot density makes the image detailed and clear. There is no air gap here, so the image feels like it’s in the palm of your hand. There are no problems with contrast or viewing angles. The picture is perfectly readable in the sun. Everything is in order with the color palette.
Hardware and performance
Since Huawei Honor Note 8 uses a truly gigantic display, the power reserve must be appropriate so that the user does not feel discomfort during constant use. Therefore, the Chinese brand equipped the device with the latest generation eight-core processor. The Kirin 955 chip is capable of operating at a frequency of 2500 MHz using progressive Cortex-A72 cores. The Mali-T880 accelerator takes graphics to another, more advanced level.
The amount of memory depends on the specific model: 32, 128 or 64 GB. But it is absolutely clear that 4 GB of RAM will be enough for everything. The operating system in Honor Note 8 is Android 6.0 with the proprietary Emotion UI 4.1 shell. In AnTuTu, the device easily scores about 80,000 points. Yes, this is far from a record by modern standards, but a very worthy result. There are no problems in games, graphics are set to maximum.
Camera
The built-in 13-megapixel camera in Honor Note 8 is equipped with optical image stabilization. There is an aperture ratio of 2.0 and a double flash. The device works well not only during the day, but also in the evening. Indoors, the pictures come out a little worse, but not too bad. The excellent 8-megapixel front camera has an aperture ratio of 2.0, taking simply excellent self-portraits.

Communications and sound
Huawei knows how to make loud and high-quality speakers, which the company showed this time too. The smartphone has deep sound with well-developed frequencies. The interlocutor can be heard perfectly through the speaker. You can use two SIM cards, and there is also support for LTE (almost all existing frequencies).
