⇡#conclusion
Another feint with the adaptation of the flagship smartphone under the Honor brand turned out very successful: this year, the repackaging of the familiar hardware platform was added to the bright design, which should just divide the “adult” Huawei P9/P9 Plus and “youth” Honor 8 in different market segments.
But if earlier the senior Honor ones could not boast of something special that would make them stand out, this year Huawei has one more trump card apart from the shiny body – the camera. Having lost the Leica nameplate, it has not become worse – just some functions have been lost, but not the quality. And being able to get a smartphone for 30 thousand rubles that shoots at the level of flagships sold for 40-50 thousand is already very attractive.
Especially if Huawei still reduces this amount – after all, in China the gadget is sold for two thousand yuan, which corresponds to about 20 thousand rubles. For such a price, it would be just a bomb. And so the competition from first of all Xiaomi Mi5 and Meizu Pro 6 is quite strong. But the Honor 8 has every chance to win it, even with the current pricing policy.
Advantages:
- Excellent dual camera;
- Bright and unusual design;
- Powerful hardware platform;
- Successful EMUI 4.1.
Flaws:
- The combined slot for the memory card and the second SIM-card;
- The display with not very good color rendering;
- A dingy body.
