What is a hard reset
Hard reset – forced clearing of all information on the device to remove all installed programs, linked accounts, and user data. Hardware cleaning is most often required if there are any stutters or bugs in EMUI and Android in general.
A hard reset deletes all user data:
- Linked accounts;
- SMS messages;
- Saved passwords;
- Huawei account;
- Photos, videos;
- Audio files;
- Programs, games;
- Other information.
After using a hard reset, the phone turns into an out-of-the-box device. After this, you can re-enter Google Play, install the necessary programs and use the gadget as usual.
Teach your smartphone to feel that you are nearby
Unlocking with a fingerprint or face works very quickly now, but you can do without it altogether. EMUI has an unlocking feature via a Bluetooth device, such as a bracelet. If it is nearby and connected, the smartphone will consider that it is in your hands, and to unlock it will be enough to swipe your finger across the screen.

Options for “rolling back” to the previous version of miui?
There are several ways to return the usual version of MIUI to your smartphone. First we will describe the simplest method, which is suitable for most users. The rest will be distributed according to the degree of difficulty of understanding.
Let’s clarify right away: with the advent of new versions of MIUI, rollback manipulations become more and more difficult. This is due to Xiaomi’s Anti-Rollback policy. We talked about it in our recent article. Therefore, you do all actions at your own peril and risk. Be sure to read the branches of your devices on w3bsit3-dns.com before following all the instructions.
Return to the old version of android
You can roll back your smartphone to a previous version using different methods. Each user chooses the appropriate option for themselves, based on the smartphone model, firmware version and availability of a computer. Read each method carefully, and only then proceed with the procedure.
Why and when to rollback
MIUI rollback is usually performed in the following cases:
- the device refuses to turn on;
- there is a constant reboot;
- password required;
- system applications do not work or are buggy;
- Various errors are observed after the update.
Most often, a rollback is successfully done through three points, but sometimes you have to resort to more complex methods.
How to return a Huawei tablet to factory settings
You can reset Android on a Huawei tablet in the same way as any smartphone, but not all tablets have Android version 9.0. With an old shell, the process may differ slightly.
To reset for Android 8.0 and 8.1 and below, you need:
- Launch settings.
- Open item « System
» - Select « Restore and reset
” - Next click on “ Reset settings to factory settings
” - Confirm the action and, if necessary, enter the password.
When resetting through recovery, the situation is no different from resetting a smartphone. In fact, all devices run Android OS, so there are no significant differences in the processes.
How to roll back an Android update on Huawei and Honor
Let’s say right away that it is possible to return the old version. But this is done not by rollback, but by replacement. That is, you remove the current shell and install the old version. This action is performed in three ways:
- via USB debugging with a computer;
- Recovery menu;
- Bootloader utility.
Working with shells and system menus is an important process. If you do something wrong, you risk losing your settings or even your smartphone. Therefore, if you perform similar actions for the first time, strictly rely on the steps of the step-by-step instructions.
How to roll back an Android update on Huawei and Honor?
Updating the operating system completely removes the previously used OS, replacing outdated programs with fresh ones. As a result, the only way to roll back will be to remove the software that the user does not like and install new firmware on the phone. Other solutions will not bring the desired effect, because:
- the updated version will not disappear;
- or the installed program will not work.
How to downgrade from android 10
- Enable developer mode on your smartphone. To do this, go to the “About phone” section and click on the “Build number” item 7 times
Step 2.
The downloaded file should be placed in the root directory of the device.
If you have updated Android at least once, you should know that this does not delete the user’s personal data. Photos, applications, music and everything else remain in place. But if you decide to roll back Android, it will be the same as resetting to factory settings. Absolutely all information will be deleted.
How to disable android update after flashing
Rolling back Android updates is not the last thing you should do. Since smartphones, as a rule, automatically update Android to the new version by default, all your actions can be canceled out by it in an instant.
That is, you will flash the firmware and return the previous version of Android, go to bed, and wake up the next day with the new version already installed.
To disable automatic Android updates you need:
- Go to device settings;
- Select “About phone”;
- Go to “System Update”;
- Go to update settings by clicking on the icon with 3 vertical dots;
- And deactivate the automatic update function.
I hope the questions discussed helped you reset your Android update back to the previous version, as well as prevent the update from happening again by blocking it.
Didn’t find the answer? Then use the search form:
I stubbornly want to return the old version of Android after updating, then this can be done.
Each operating system needs to be improved in order to: increase its performance and ease of use, correct shortcomings and errors.
Which is easy to do with updates. For the Android operating system, this can be done by updating its version, and this operation is called flashing.
What kind of problems appear after updating Android?
By and large, not scary at all. Very rarely, after modification, several shortcuts disappear from the desktop, and the programs themselves are the owners of these icons. Because they have long been outdated, there are many updates or replacements for these programs in the Play Store.
Along with flashing, new useful but uninteresting programs are installed that cannot be removed.
The worst thing is if you install the operating system not through settings and updates. This self-installed version of Android will be unofficial software, and all warranties for servicing your device will be lost.
How to return to the old version of Android after updating?
It may happen that you want to return the old version of Android if you do not like the update made. But such a possibility, without harm to personal data and already installed applications you like, does not exist.
Still, it’s better to get used to Android after the update. Install new applications, shortcuts on your desktop, and you will like the updated operating system.
I stubbornly want to return the old version of Android after updating, then this can be done.
First, before returning to the old version of Android, you need to rewrite all personal data from the phone’s internal memory:
- contacts, phone numbers – on the SIM card;
- photos, music, text files, SMS messages, emails – to a separate memory card.
The following cannot be saved: device user settings, created accounts, installed applications.
Secondly, you will need to perform a factory reset. There are two options.
The operation is different for different types and models of devices:
- on Android phones version 2.3 –
Settings > Privacy > Factory reset. - on Android phones version 4 –
Settings > Device memory > Factory reset
or Settings > Built-in memory > Factory reset. - on Android tablets version 4 –
Settings > Backup & reset > Reset settings.
Hard reset to return the old version of android:
You need to enter the “Android system recovery” menu. First you need to turn off the device, and then use the key combination, which differs for different manufacturers.
In the “Android system recovery” menu, remember the key assignments: highlight – move through the menu; select – select a menu item. Move to the line “wipe data / factory reset” and select this item. Next, in the new menu, go down to the action confirmation sub-item and select it.
In both reset options, a reboot will occur, and your device will turn on with factory settings – with applications and the old version of Android preinstalled by the manufacturer.
If there is no such button, first click “Options” (may look like three dots in the upper right corner),
In addition to updates, all application data will be deleted: settings and files. The application will be the same as you launched it the first time.
Select “Applications” or “Application Manager”.
Select Application Manager if your device has it. If this item is not there, go to the next step.
Find the application whose version you want to restore to the factory version.
The installed version is indicated below.
Click on the “Uninstall updates” button.
If there is no such button, first click “Options” (may look like three dots in the upper right corner),
and then the “Uninstall updates” button.
If there are no “Options” or “Uninstall updates” buttons, or they cannot be pressed, it means: a) the factory version is already installed; b) this is not a system application.
Click “Uninstall” or “OK” to remove updates, files, and application settings.
Done. The factory version of the application has been restored.
How to properly perform a full reset on Honor and Huawei
Huawei gadgets run on the Android operating system, so there will be no difficulties in returning to factory settings. All devices have approximately the same conditions for resetting data.
There are several ways to return to the initial state:
- Through settings
, where the user can choose to delete all information or only personal data. - Using Recovery
– a mod for restoring a smartphone. The recovery menu is opened using combinations of the volume and power buttons. - Via HiSuite program
– a proprietary program from Huawei on a computer for controlling an Android device.
Regardless of which reset method is used, it is impossible to restore data after it has been completely deleted, so before you reset your phone to factory settings, be sure to save your accounts, passwords, photos and videos.
How to reset to factory settings?
General scheme of actions:
- Settings.
- Archive and reset / Backup and reset / Restore and reset (different names).
- Reset data/Reset settings.
- Erase everything.
In different smartphone models, the data reset option is located in different settings sections, so first you need to find out the exact sequence of actions for a specific phone model. This can be done on the manufacturer’s website.
System recovery using third-party applications
If a typical smartphone does not have a separate button for rolling back the OS, special programs for backups will help. Provided that you make a backup copy in advance.
For example, Titanium Backup is one of the most popular and effective applications in this field. But to use such programs you need to get root rights. Obtaining root rights will void the warranty of the smartphone, but if you are willing to take the risk.
- Download Titanium Backup.
- Give the program superuser rights.
- Insert a memory card of sufficient capacity into the slot.
- Select the “Backups” tab – “Menu” – “Processing”.
- Select “Back up all user software and system data” – “Start”.
- To create a complete copy of the system, do not change anything in the proposed menu or check the boxes.
When a system backup has been created and you need it: “Processing” – “Restore” – “Restore all software with data”.
But please note that a rollback always completely destroys the data on the smartphone, so you MUST first backup the data or save the necessary photos, audio and video files, contacts and messages on another medium, a flash drive or in the cloud.
After installation, the device will turn on automatically.
Finally, you can rollback through special modes, but this requires the Mi Flash program and an unlocked bootloader.
To roll back via Fastboot you need:
How to remove an application update on Android?
To remove application updates, you will need:
- open the “applications” section on Huawei;
- find a suitable one in the list of installed programs;
- click on it to open the menu of available actions;
- select uninstall updates from the list that appears;
- confirm the decision made.
How to remove the latest OS update for Honor and Huawei using utilities?
If the above methods do not help, you can still use third-party applications to roll back the OS. Before using them, it is recommended to study the reviews so as not to encounter malware that will not delete Android, but will only steal the user’s confidential data.
How to install emui 10 / magic ui 3 right now without waiting / smartphones and mobile phones / ixbt live
Huawei is now rolling out Android 10 with the EMUI 10 shell (Magic UI 3 for Honor) on several of its models. But as always, for some the update arrives earlier, and for others later. I accidentally discovered a way to skip the queue, and tested it on two Honor 20 and one Honor 20 Pro – it works everywhere.
If you go to “Settings” – “System” – “Software Update” and click “Check for updates”, the smartphone claims that the installed system version 9.1.0.166 with Magic UI 2.1.0 is the latest, and there is nothing newer . But that’s not true.
If you go to the HiCare application (you need to update it to the latest version from Google Play or App Gallery!) and in the “Update” section click “Check for updates”, then suddenly a new version 10.0.0.168 is discovered – the very tenth Android with Magic UI 3. Moreover, if you return to the usual “Settings” and check again, the line about the available update will disappear!
How to update:

After update:

Huawei and all update instructions on the Internet suggest system updater and HiCare as equivalent update methods. In fact, Huawei rates users of its service app a little higher.
Which versions of android can be rolled back?
In Android 9.0 Pie, Google has finally banned rolling back the OS version to a previous state, explaining the unpopular move:
- the desire to protect users and improve the security of smartphones;
- simplifying and speeding up the update process thanks to Project Treble technology;
- combating fragmentation that prevented legacy versions from working.
That is, owners of old Android devices that have not been updated to the Pie version will be able to roll back using the built-in functionality.
Don’t be left without charge
Honor smartphones have two energy saving modes. One is gentle. It greatly limits the background operation of applications, disables automatic mail synchronization, mutes sounds, and simplifies interface animation. In fact, this mode can be used to concentrate on work if you cannot turn on Do Not Disturb.
If the battery is close to zero, and you understand that the outlet is still far away, then it’s time for the “Ultra” mode. A smartphone actually becomes just a phone: you can make calls on it, you can send SMS from it – and, in general, that’s all. But in this form it will last for many more hours.
Over the air update
Over-the-air update is the installation of a new version using FOTA. This is done using the following algorithm:
- go to settings;
- select the “About phone” section;
- tap on the line “System update”;
- option – “Online”.
Then everything will be done automatically. Do not turn off the machine until the reinstallation process is complete. It is recommended to use a Wi-Fi hotspot as it takes up a lot of data. If during reinstallation the mobile Internet ends, the device will freeze. In addition, mobile modules are turned off and turned on again at the time of reboot.
Tablet firmware update
All Huawei and Honor equipment works on the same principle, respectively, they have the same operating system and very similar features. That is why the developers offer you the same reinstallation options as for mobile phones:
- by air;
- local;
- forced;
- using HiSuite;
- manually by downloading the file.
Unsatisfied with the latest miui update? let’s figure out how to return the previous firmware version
Xiaomi products have become incredibly popular since their appearance on the mobile device market. This was mainly due to the correctly chosen philosophy of the brand: the most “pumped up” characteristics for a minimum price tag. It is worth giving the company its due – the manufacturer still adheres to this rule.
However, it was not only the low price that Xiaomi was able to capture the interest of such a large number of fans. Another attractive component of Xiaomi smartphones for potential buyers is the MIUI firmware. This graphical interface significantly increased the number of “goodies” of pure Android, while at the same time it had an original and pleasant design for many.
Unfortunately, all its advantages for a considerable number of users were easily overshadowed by one huge disadvantage – eternal bugs in fresh updates. Because of this, many users are regularly puzzled by the question “Should I go back to the old firmware version?”
Rollback to default version
It was already mentioned above that before rolling back the firmware, you should reset it to factory settings. Sometimes in this case you will immediately return to the factory (default) firmware version. You don’t have to download anything additional to your phone.
To eliminate the possibility of various errors, it is recommended to completely clear the data via Recovery:
- Go to Settings and select the “About phone” section.
- Select “System Update” and click the three dots in the upper right corner.
- Click “Reboot in Recovery Mode”.
- After the reboot, a special menu will open where you need to select Wipe Data.
Cleaning via Recovery cannot be done with locked bootloaders. It is better not to perform this procedure on smartphones with an MTK processor.
Miui update rollback
Upgrade rollback is carried out in different ways:
- via factory reset;
- through “three dots”;
- using developer firmware;
- via Recovery or Fastboot modes.
The choice of one method or another depends not only on your knowledge and skills, but also on the specific smartphone model, as well as the MIUI version. Sometimes you have to try several methods until you find one that works.
Rollback from emui 10 to emui 9
To roll back the EMUI update on Huawei and Honor:
- open main settings and Huawei via the desktop icon or notification bar;
- go to the description and characteristics of the model section;
- Click on the item with the build number 10 times;
- install HiSuite software on both your smartphone and PC (or laptop);
- establish contact between devices using a working USB cable;
- click on updates in the program;
- select the desired version;
- click on the installation process;
- read the instructions and agree.
We emphasize that during the installation of the shell you cannot interrupt the contact between the phone and the computer. Check the functionality of cables and USB ports in advance.
Rollback from ewui 10 to emui 9
Those who want to roll back the EMUI update on Honor and Huawei will have to perform the same steps, regardless of the shell version installed on the phone. But first of all, they will have to obtain developer rights. To do this you will need:
- open Huawei settings;
- find the section “about the phone”;
- find the “build number” item in the row with the description of the gadget’s parameters;
- Click on the mentioned line 7 times in a row;
- specify a password to gain access to the device (if one was installed);
- wait for a message confirming that you have received developer rights.
As a result, users will be able to roll back software as usual.
Rollback through “three points”
The most common way to return to the previous version of MIUI. Algorithm of actions:
- Name the previously downloaded firmware archive “update.zip”.
- Connect your phone to your PC via a native USB cable.
- Move the firmware to the smartphone’s memory (directly to the root, no need to create additional folders).
- Now go to Advanced settings and select the “For Developers” section.
- Activate the “Factory unlock” item (it has nothing to do with the Xiaomi bootloader).
- Go to the “About phone” – “System update” section.
- Select the firmware file through three dots (find the “update.zip” file in the root of the internal memory).
If everything is done correctly, the firmware will be installed and the phone will reboot. After this, you can restore previously saved data.
Rollback via fastboot and recovery
Finally, you can rollback through special modes, but this requires the Mi Flash program and an unlocked bootloader.
To roll back via Fastboot you need:
2. Unlock the bootloader.
5. Connect your phone via USB cable and enter Fastboot mode.
7. Select Clean All and reflash.
After installation, the device will turn on automatically.
If you are going to rollback via Recovery, you need:
- Place the firmware file in the phone memory.
- Turn off your smartphone, then simultaneously hold down the power and volume up buttons.
- In the special menu, select the “Reboot” and “Recovery” sections.
- Click “Install”, select the firmware file and confirm the rollback.
Using Recovery mode requires TWRP.
Roll back the firmware using miflash
The next method will be relevant for “knowledgeable” users of Xiaomi smartphones. To make firmware more convenient, craftsmen have created a special program for PC called MiFlash. It can be a great help in solving many problems associated with flashing, including rolling back to an old version of software.
We remind you that this method requires an unlocked bootloader – it is not suitable for locked devices.
Get ready to downgrade to android 10
First, you need to back up all your data, because when you roll back, the system is completely wiped.
The next step is to download the Android 9 Pie image for your device. For Google Pixel, for example, it can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
In the case of other companies, you will have to work hard to find an official image. The best place to do this is at XDA Developers. It is very important to download the image specifically for your device from a trusted source.
Next you will need the following:
Now we move directly to the rollback process.
Connect your keyboard to social accounts
Honor smartphones have an on-screen Swype keyboard enabled by default, which also supports finger-tip input – just draw a line from one letter to another and so on until the end. And the better the keyboard knows your vocabulary, the better it is at guessing words and the less often you have to correct it.
A good way to immediately introduce Swype to your linguistic features is to let it read your posts on social networks. Unless, of course, they are written by your SMM manager or press secretary.
This is done in the keyboard settings:
Full reset
You can completely delete data and restore factory settings as follows:
- Launch the application « Settings
” - Open tab « System
” - Go to « Reset mode
” - Click on “ Reset phone
” - Then click on “ Reset phone settings
”
In this case, all information that was previously stored in the gadget’s memory is deleted. It is not possible to restore programs, photos or contacts. Everything is completely deleted.
Use your phone with one hand
Smartphones are getting bigger, and sometimes it’s not very convenient to type text on the on-screen keyboard on the go. For this case, Honor smartphones have just a device, and you don’t even need to go into the settings: just swipe your finger from the central on-screen button to the left or right – and the image will become smaller (if the buttons are disabled, swipe from the corner to the center). It’s easy to return – just click on a free field on the screen.
Unlocking the OS bootloader
The standard bootloader unlocking method involves:
If you have any questions or complaints, please let us know
- downloading and installing the ADB utility on your PC, which allows you to manage your smartphone;
- obtaining developer rights on the phone;
- connecting the gadget to the computer and then turning on the mentioned utility;
- then all you have to do is enter the unlock code (issued on the Huawei EMUI website) and make sure that the phone is ready to install new software instead of the update file.
It is important to emphasize that there are other ways to remove the lock, so if the described method does not help, you will have to use an alternative solution.
Unlock your phone by simply picking it up
Modern Honor smartphones support face unlock using the front camera. In conjunction with this function, it is also convenient to use the “awakening” device for lifting. It’s also worth setting up unlocking to go straight to the desktop, so you don’t have to swipe your finger across the screen. It works like this: you pick up your smartphone, it recognizes you, and it’s ready to go.
Split the screen into two parts
If your smartphone has a large screen, you can work with two applications at once: for example, watch a video and check a map or chat. In EMUI, just drag your knuckle across the middle of the screen, and the program will “shrink” (if it supports such a function), and in the remaining space you can launch another one.
Reset to menu
The path to the treasured option depends on the type and model of your device:
- Android phones version 2.3: Settings > Privacy > Factory reset;
- Android phones version 4: Settings > Device storage > Factory reset;
- tablets on Android version 4: Settings > Backup and reset > Reset settings.
Downloading and preparing to install factory firmware
It was previously mentioned that Google does not allow you to return your phone settings to their original state, so you won’t be able to find the required firmware file on official websites. Users will have to look for a preliminary version of Android on third-party services and forums, such as w3bsit3-dns.com. However, before installation, it is recommended to make sure that the resulting file is not infected with viruses.
Smartphone stuck during update
Freezing is a sign that the equipment is not “carrying” the load that you ask of it. Wait 20-30 minutes, and if the device gets very hot, abort the installation process. If the situation is resolved, be sure to write about this situation to the support service so that the administrators take this feature into account.
Create a secret space
A very useful feature of the EMUI shell is the creation of a “secret space”. In fact, you can create a second account on your smartphone, with your own applications (it makes sense to hide banking programs there), notes, mail and social network accounts, a photo gallery, as well as your own design. And nothing will indicate that it exists at all.
Moreover, this is implemented in an extremely convenient way: a second PIN code is created and/or another fingerprint is recorded – let it be, say, the little finger – so that no one will guess. Enter this PIN (apply your “secret” finger) – and you are already in a closed space.
Another use for this feature is an account for a child. You can create your own little world on your smartphone with a set of games and tutorials, but without access to your “adult” applications and data.
Installing android
It is important to emphasize that changing the settings and installing Android yourself will make it impossible to return the phone under warranty. Most service centers consider such intervention unacceptable, therefore, if careless attempts to roll back the OS lead to a malfunction, the repair will be paid regardless of the warranty period.
Partial reset
If it is necessary to delete partial information, you must:
- Launch the application « Settings
” - Scroll to the bottom of the menu.
- Select menu item “ System
” - Find item « Reset
“, open it. - Select « Reset all settings
” - Confirm the action.
Via titanium backup
Before moving on to the instructions, we note that this method is only suitable for smartphones with root rights. If there are none, then use one of the previous methods. So, first of all, install the Titanium Backup application on your phone.
Launch the program and go to the “Recovery” tab, and then select “OS recovery with data”.
The rollback will be performed to the firmware originally installed on a specific device.
Via computer (hisuite)
In the usual sense, a hard reset is not possible through the Huawei HiSuite program for PC. You can delete files manually for each menu item.
For this you need:
- Run the program on your computer.
- Open, for example, contacts. The entire list of menus where you can delete data will appear on the left.
- After deleting contacts, you can delete photos, videos, documents and applications.
It is impossible to completely restore the standard appearance of the device in this way, but you can get rid of unnecessary applications and junk. HiSuite works when connecting any Huawei device from Honor 10 to Mate 20 Pro.
Step 1: preparatory procedures
If you decide to roll back the MIUI firmware yourself, you should never skip the preparatory procedures stage. First, let’s figure out exactly what operations will have to be done to flash the firmware.
In fact, there is nothing complicated or special. We need to return the phone to its original state, removing all traces of the new version on it, and then install the old firmware in the standard way.
- First of all, we charge the mobile device. The optimal amount of charge is 70-90%, otherwise the device may suddenly turn off during the update process, which often leads to bricking.
- Next we make a backup
, because when you roll back to the old version of MIUI, absolutely all data is erased from the smartphone, starting with the pictures taken and ending with the operating system settings.
Please note that the resulting backup copies should under no circumstances be stored in the internal memory of the phone, as they will disappear with the first wipe.
Step 2: Save the backup to your computer
As we noted above, there is no point in keeping backup materials on the phone itself. Immediately after making a backup, use external storage. They can be flash drives, memory cards (be sure to remove them) or a personal computer. We will focus on the last basic option.
- Take a USB cable, connect to the computer
using connectors and provide access to smartphone data. - Through Explorer, go into the memory of the mobile device, find the backups made and simply copy them to any hard drive.
- There is also an option to make a full backup
all data from Xiaomi using the official Mi PC Suite program, here is our video
.
Step 3: Factory reset
In some cases, users are able to immediately switch to the previous firmware version by performing only a reset. But not everyone is so lucky, especially if the current version of MIUI has been running on the smartphone for a long time.
- So, we find the shortcut “Settings” on the main screen
. - Scroll down the page, click “Advanced settings”
. - Next, click “Backup and reset”
. - We find ourselves in a separate item, where we select the option “Reset settings”
.
The mobile device will reboot, and you will receive the phone in “factory” form, where absolutely all materials are missing, which is why it is so important to make a backup on time. If you couldn’t roll back the update this easy way, read on.
Step 4: complete data deletion
Unfortunately, a factory reset is not enough to completely erase all traces of the previous MIUI firmware from your mobile device. It is necessary to remove shell data from the “bowels” of the system itself, and TWRP Recovery will help with this.
There are two options to enter utility mode. The first is the simplest: go to “Settings” and look for the “System Update” item. There should be three dots in the upper corner, indicating the entrance to the recovery.
If the message “Reboot in Recovery mode” is missing, try another method. Turn off the mobile device, wait about a minute for all processes to stop and hold down the power and volume up keys.
The corresponding message should appear on the screen and various functions presented in the form of tiles. We are looking for the “Wipe Data” option, since it will completely wipe the mobile device in a matter of minutes, thereby preparing it for installing the previous version of MIUI.
Finally, reboot the device and proceed to the next steps.
Step 5: Find the correct version to install the previous miui
It should be understood that a rollback is simply a flashing using an older version. Accordingly, you need to find and download this version. Everything here is extremely simple: visit the official MIUI website with Fastboot firmware, find your device and download the file.
Be careful! Only firmware designed exclusively for your model will work. For example, the owner of a Redmi 4X smartphone is strictly prohibited from downloading the version developed for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.
As soon as the firmware file is downloaded, be sure to rename it to “update.zip”. We do not touch the permission of the archive itself. Next, we again resort to using a USB cable and transfer the shell to the smartphone’s memory.
If this point is still unclear, we recommend that you read a separate article on the topic of finding the correct firmware for your model
phone.
