Recovery (eng. «Recovery») is a special phone mode on the Android OS, which is designed to restore the device’s performance in the event of an unexpected system failure. In phones from Huawei and the Honor sub-brand, this mode can be called Huawei eRecovery, Honor eRecovery, or simply eRecovery. Apparently, the letter “e” in the name is the first letter of the word “Emergency”, which literally means “emergency or unforeseen situation”.
All items in the official recovery are always in English only. And if the phone is “gray”, then even worse — in Chinese (after all, Huawei is a Chinese brand). Therefore, to work with a smartphone in this mode, you will have to arm yourself with a dictionary or strain your memory and remember English lessons. However, you can find the required instructions and do everything exactly as it says. You need to work with recovery very carefully: one wrong move can turn a smartphone into a brick.
There are several basic types of recovery depending on who is the developer of the product.
