The new HUAWEI Y6 2019 and HUAWEI Y7 2019 smartphones

HUAWEI introduces two new smartphones of the Y line – HUAWEI Y6 2019 and HUAWEI Y7 2019. According to tradition, the new products offer the widest audience of users the opportunity to appreciate the features and technologies previously available in devices of higher price categories. These include large frameless Dewdrop Display screens with teardrop cutouts for the front camera, smart technology, vision protection, high-capacity batteries, and a bright, eye-catching design.

HUAWEI Y6 2019: Combining design and technology

HUAWEI Y6 2019 smartphone has a new frameless 6.09-inch Dewdrop Display. The tiny drop-shaped cutout, which houses the front camera, light and proximity sensors, speaker and front flash, provides maximum visual comfort and almost does not take up useful screen area, which occupies 87% of the front surface of the smartphone.

The Dewdrop Display offers users a new, easier way to interact with their device – full-screen gestures. For example, swiping up from the bottom border takes you to the home screen. Swiping from the left or right edge to the center takes you back to the previous screen. Swipe up from the bottom and hold to activate the list of recently used apps.

TÜV Rheinland-certified vision protection technology adjusts color temperature and brightness to reduce eye fatigue during prolonged use of your smartphone. A special algorithm increases screen brightness in direct sunlight, providing visual comfort in all lighting conditions.

There is also an algorithm for expanding the dynamic range, which improves the detail of light and dark areas of the image during video viewing.

HUAWEI Y6 smartphones are presented in Russia in three colors, including sapphire blue, amber brown with faux leather texture and midnight black.

Quality photographs

HUAWEI Y6 2019 smartphones got a 13 MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.8, providing excellent quality when shooting at any time of day.

Equipped with a flash, the 8 MP front camera has intelligent algorithms to improve portraits, allowing you to take attractive and naturalistic selfies in a wide variety of shooting conditions.

When applying effects, algorithms take into account the color and tone of the model’s skin, guaranteeing optimum results.

Optimized sound

Despite its diminutive size, the HUAWEI Y6 2019 has a powerful speaker system. The built-in high-voltage amplifier (11V) and HUAWEI Supersound technology make it possible to achieve a volume of 6 dB. Lab testing showed that the new smartphones sound 30% louder than their predecessors, providing a clear and balanced sound.

Support for 7.1 surround sound technology and party mode allows you to combine up to 8 HUAWEI smartphones into a single speaker system. The built-in FM antenna provides access to additional music content.

Convenient interface

The latest version of the proprietary EMUI 9.0 interface differs from its predecessor in the simplicity of settings. The number of menu items has been reduced by 10%. Facial recognition technology makes it possible to unlock the device without touching the screen, even in low light conditions. Optimization of the built-in storage has significantly compressed the pre-installed applications, saving an additional 2 GB for user files.

The new smartphones HUAWEI Y6 series are equipped with a battery rated at 3,020 mAh and the proprietary smart energy-saving technology, providing up to 10 hours of battery life in 4G networks, up to 73 hours of continuous listening to music and up to 16 hours of video demonstration.

HUAWEI Y7 – more features

The new HUAWEI Y7 smartphone is based on an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and is equipped with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Almost unlimited additional storage space for files provides support for memory cards up to 512 GB. The device has three independent slots: two for sim cards and one for microSD cards.

The 6.26-inch screen has a resolution of 1520 x 720 at a pixel density of 269 PPI.

A front camera with an 8 MP sensor and a dual main camera consisting of 13 MP and 2 MP modules offer ample opportunities for creative expression and allow you to save important moments of life for history, regardless of lighting and other shooting conditions.

The battery capacity of 3 900 mA‧h supports up to 37 hours of voice calls on 3G networks and up to 724 hours of standby time on LTE networks (lab data).

HUAWEI Y7 smartphones are available in the colors midnight black and bright blue, have a thickness of only 8.1 mm at a weight of 168 g.

Prices and start sales

Sales of smartphones HUAWEI Y6 2019 and HUAWEI Y7 2019 will begin March 7 in branded stores and partner stores of the company at recommended retail prices of 9,490 rubles and 12,990 rubles, respectively.
